The ultimate Bratislava travel guide - what to see, eat and do in Bratislava

Bratislava is often offered as a day trip from Vienna but it has so much more to offer. Being considerably cheaper than its neighbour and a much more manageable size you should be visiting here and day tripping to Vienna if you find the time.

Beer = £1.50 for 50cl
Meal for 2 with drinks = £40
Bus tickets = £0.70
Train to Vienna = £11 (on the day)

Where to stay

If you like beer and super modern decor then stay at the Loft Hotel, located next to the presidential palace with the old town being just a 10 minute walk in one direction and the main train station 10 minutes in the other it's a perfect base to explore the city. The rooms are clean, modern and best of all the hotel has its own microbrewery and burger joint! need I say anymore!
