The best tour for your first time in Prague

Do you want to see all the sights of Prague but don't know where to start? Well I like EBike has you covered. Their bike tour will take you past all the best sights Prague has to offer without even breaking a sweat.

Jess and I don't normally like to spend lots of money on tours, instead we prefer to research the place were visiting and create our own, cheapskates I know.  This idea didn't work so well in Prague, the city has so many sights, all randomly spread out with some even hard to spot unless you know where to look (I'm talking about the crazy sculptures by David Cerny). To make things even more difficult the city has some steep inclines so walking or cycling on a bog standard peddle powered bike just looked like way too much effort.

Thankfully we found I Like EBike, these guys offer a 3.5 hour tour of the city on an electric bike covering 15km around the city. At first glance the costs is quite steep (£60pp) but for what you get its actually great value for money. I can guarantee you will finish the tour being amazed with the sheer number of sights (most of which you would have never thought of) and the effortlessness of the tour.

The tour starts off at the I like EBike office next to the US Embassy, from here the guide will take you through the park and up to the fake Eiffel Tower. Along the way you can catch some incredible views of the city and if open see a giant meteorite.

Next on the tour is a stop at the Castle Monastery where you can try some of the traditional monk beer. Apparently, this is still brewed using the original methods and recipe. Although probably just a marketing gimmick the beer still tasted dam good!

At the Castle, you can watch the changing of the guards and take in the sights of the largest castle complex in the world.

Through Letna Park for some great views of the city, passing one of the biggest beer gardens in Europe and then downwards to the river for a leisurely cycle towards the old town square and Jewish quarters.

No tour to to Prague would be complete without a cycle along the Charles Bridge so the tour finishes up on the other side where you will see the John Lennon wall and David Cerny's monument of two people peeing on the Czech Republic.

15km down and arriving back at the office without even breaking you will be ready to explore the rest of the city by foot with your new knowledge of the Prague.

There is obviously a lot more sights and stops then I have described, in fact on the actual tour you will get 32 stops with 7 being incredible vantage points of the city.

Do this tour on your first day to Prague as it will give you a great overview of the city and allow you to navigate it much easier during your stay.
